Liu Song

Liu Song was born on 8 December 1983 in Beijing, China.

Professional since 2003, Song (刘嵩) has been improving steadily since that time. He was the first Chinese player to qualify for the final stages of a ranking tournament, the Welsh Open in 2004.

Song became the first overseas winner of the PIOS Tour with success in the 2005/6 season.

2007/8 was his most successful season to date, peaking when Song reached the quarter finals of the Grand Prix, losing to the eventual winner, Marco Fu.

Song has reached a high ranking of 53 in the world, and progressed in the world of snooker further in 2010 when he became the first Chinese player to attain the World Snooker Coaching badge.
