Liu Song
Liu Song was born on 8 December 1983 in Beijing, China.
Professional since 2003, Song has been improving steadily since that time. He was the first Chinese player to qualify for the final stages of a ranking tournament, the Welsh Open in 2004.
2007/8 was his most successful season to date, peaking when Song reached the quarter finals of the Grand Prix, losing to the eventual winner, Marco Fu.
Song is now up to his highest ranking position, 53 in the world, and great things will no doubt come in the coming season.
