EPTC2: Bruges, Belgium 30 September-3 October 2010

Three Grove players made it through to the last 32 of the latest EPTC event, taking place for the first time in Belgium.

Chen Zhe argually had the best run, even with a bye to the second round given to him after the non-appearance of Ronnie O’Sullivan. He beat Gwen Engels 4-0 in the qualifying round and then defeated Craig Steadman 4-3. In the last 32 he came up against former world champion Peter Ebdon and was unlucky to lose 4-3.

Liu Chuang also made it through to round three after a good wins against James Welsh (4-0) and Andy Hicks (4-1). He then came up against another former world champion, Mark Williams, and lost 4-2.

Judd Trump started with a a 4-0 win against Jak Jones and a 4-1 win against Chris Norbury but then was defeated 4-0 against an in-form Liang Wenbo.

Matthew Selt won his first match against Hans Blanckaert 4-2 but lost in the second round 4-0 to Jimmy Robertson. Liu Song started with a 4-0 win against Lasse Munstermann but then fell 4-1 in the second round to Mark Selby. Jack Lisowski was another first round winner, beating Luc Heirewegh 4-0 before losing to Peter Ebdon 4-1. Zhang Anda lost in the first round to Xiao Guodong 4-2
