Judd wins the China Open 2016

Players Championship 2016 Grand Final

Event City, Manchester – 20-27 March 2016
Judd was the only Grove player involved in this tournament that featured the 24 players who came on top of the European Tour order of merit as well as the 8 topping the Asian Tour order of merit. Judd lost to Ali Carter in the last 16.

World Grand Prix 2016

Judd and Neil qualified for the World Grand Prix 2016, played in Llandudno, from 8 to 13 March 2016. This wass the second instance of the event – under this format – and this time it was ranking. It wasn’t to be for Neil who lost by 4-3 to Peter Ebdon in round 1 (last 32). Judd wass the defending champion, He beat local favourite Mark Williams in the last 32., but lost to Stuart Bingham in the last 16. He was playing despite sickness, all credits.

Judd wins the Championship League Snooker for the 3rd time

Judd beat Ronnie O’Sullivan by 3-2 in the final of the Championship League Snooker 2016, winning it for the third time. He’s the only multiple winner of the event, now in its seventh year. Judd had qualified for the Winners Group by winning Group 2, back in January.

The Gdynia Open 2016 was the last of the European Tour events and a very important one for some players who were trying to secure their tour card via the ET Order of Merit or those in the balance for the World Grand Prix or the Players Tour Championship.
