Liang Wenbo and Stuart Bingham have qualified for the final phase of the Gdynia Open (5-7 October 2012). Wenbo played Andy Hicks at 11am (local time) on the 5th in the very first match of the tournament and beat him 4-0. He the faced Jimmy White in the last 16 and lost 3-4 having lead 3-1 and 47-0.
