Riga Masters 2016 – Neil wins the season opener

Neil, Judd, James Cahill and Li Hang were competing in the Riga Masters, from 22 to 24 June 2016. Chen Zhe had qualified as well but visa issues forced him to withdraw. Neil won the event, beating Michael Holt by 5-2 in the final. The event, that was part of the European Tour in previous seasons, is now a full ranking event … and Neil 12th ranking title.

Eleven30 Series – Event 2 – 11 June 2016

Judd won the second event of the series by 6-4, he now leads Ronnie O’Sullivan by 2-0. This event took place at the Waterfront in Belfast, house of the former North Ireland Trophy. There were more than 2000 people in the audience. The match was close, it went to 4-4 before Judd pulled away for victory.

Eleven30 Series – Event 1 – 3 June 2016

Judd won the first event of the Eleven30 series by beating Ronnie (O’Sullivan) by 6-5. The event was held at the Lakeside country club, in Surrey.
The series consists of 6 events, all played over best of 11, under a 30 seconds shot clock. At the end of the series the winner takes it all. If both players win 3 matches, whoever has the most centuries will be declared the winner.

The Preston Guid Hall hosted a full week of qualifiers from May 28 to June 4, 2016: the first rounds (last 128) of the Indian Open, the World Open (to be played in China) and the Riga Masters saw most players kick-off their season.
Only Oliver Lines qualified for the Indian Open main event. Neil and Judd didn’t enter.
Cao Yupeng, Neil, Yu Delu, Judd, Oliver Lines and James Cahill qualified for the World Open main event.
