The Grove is very happy to welcome Wu Yize at the start of the 2024/25 season.

Wu is a wonderful talent as his young career so far amply shows.
Upon joining the Grove team, Wu declared: ” I’m very excited about this move and I can’t wait to get started for the season ahead!”

The 2024 World Snooker Championship took place at the Crucible Theatre in Sheffield (England) from the 20th of April to the 6th of May 2024. Luca Brecel was the defending Champion. The event was won by Kyren Wilson who beat Jak Jones – a qualifier – by 18-14 in the final.
It was a pretty miserable event for the Grove players.
Neil Robertson needed to qualify but didn’t manage it. He was narrowly beaten by Jamie Jones in the last round of qualifiers (10-9).

Three out of the four Grove players were involved in the 2024 World Mixed Doubles event: Luca Brecel teamed with Reanne Evans, Mark Selby with Rebecca Kenna, and Neil Robertson with Mink Nutcharut.
The event was played in Manchester on 30 and 31 March 2024. Neil and Mink were the defending champions but finished last of the group phase.
Reanne Evans and Luca Brecel won the title, beating Rebecca Kenna and Mark Selby in the final.

The 2024 World Open (officially the 2024 Huading Nylon World Open) took place from 18 to 24 March 2024 at the Yushan Sport Centre in Yushan, China. Judd Trump was the defending champion, having won the event in the last, pre-covid, edition in 2019. He successfully defended his title. He beat Ding by 10-4 in the final.

There were two rounds of qualifiers for this event and all Grove players negotiated them successfully. Luca though lost in last 32 to Stephen Maguire (5-1). Mark Selby went one better losing to Jackson …
