The MIUS Cup – the fourth game in the EPTC series – was the first event held at the South West Snooker Academy in Gloucester. The Grove’s Liu Chaung made it through to the quarter finals.

Judd Trump reached the quarter final of the latest event to consolidate his position near the top of the PTC Order of Merit.

Four Grove players made it through to the last 32 of the final PTC event for the season, held in Sheffield.

Amateur Chen Zhe got through the qualifying round once again by beating Stephen Grove 4-0 but then lost to world no 27 Andrew Higginson 4-2.
Liu Chuang did win his first round match against Jeff Cundy 4-3 but then lost 4-1 to Allan Taylor. Liu Song also reached the same stage, losing to eventual finalist Jamie Jones 4-0 after defeating David Morris 4-2.

A great event for the Grove’s Billy O’Connor who made it through to the final after beaing Guy Lozt in the semi final, only to lose 2-1 to Lewis Frampton.
It was Billy’s best performance to date and we’re hoping for his good form to continue in the next event here at the Grove Snooker Club in two weeks’ time.
Billy defeated another Grove player, Ryan Marriner, 3-0 in the group stages before making it through to the semi-finals.
