Judd is the 2019/20 Player of the Year

For obvious reasons, there isn’t an award ceremony this time, but the end-of-season awards have been … awarded and Judd has scooped his fair share of them. He’s the fans’ player of the year, the press’ player of the year, WST player of the year, and, of course, overall player of the year.

The 2020 World Championship

The 2020 World Snooker Championship was played from 31 July to 16 August 2020, at the Crucible Theatre in Sheffield.
Due to the covid-19 pandemics, it was played under social distancing rules, and a reduced crowd was allowed in the theatre only on the opening day and for the final. For the biggest part of it, the event was played behind closed doors.
Judd Trump was the defending champion. The other Grove players involved were Ding Junhui, Jack Lisowski, and Neil Robertson.

2020 World Championship Qualifiers

Three Grove players needed to qualify for the 2020 World Championship at the Crucible. Ali Carter and Luca Brecel needed to win two matches, Oliver Lines needed three. All lost their first match. For Oliver, this means that he now needs to get the results in the Q-school to keep his professional status.
The tournament was played at the EIS in Sheffield, behind closed doors. It ran from the 21st to the 28th of July 2020.
