Martin Gould was the scourge of the Grove at the weekend as he defeated Ronnie O’Sullivan, Judd Trump and Stuart Bingham on his way to taking the Power Snooker Masters title at the Trafford Centre in Manchester.

Ronnie started in impressive form after beating Ali Carter 335-245, Graeme Dott in a close match 185-182 and Neil Robertson in the semi-final by a record 519 points to 157. Martin Gould had edged the other semi-final against Mark Selby 253-246.

In the final, Gould came from behind to beat Ronnie 286-258, who had charged into a lead of over 150 points before Gould hit back to win.

Judd Trump lost his first round match against Gould 332-229, who then went on to beat Grove new boy Stuart Bingham 247-180 in the next round. Stuart had started the tournament with an excellent win against former world champion Shaun Murphy 376-112.
