Judd Trump made it through to the last 16 of the Star Xing Pai Haikou World Open after beating Andrew Higginson 5-0, but lost in round 2 to the eventual winner Mark Allen, 5-4.
Stuart Bingham lost 5-0 in the first round to Michael Holt. Ronnie O’Sullivan was unable to take part due to illness.
