The 2024 Masters

The 2024 Masters was played at Alexandra Palace in London from 7 to 14 January 2024. Mark Allen was the defending champion. Ronnie O’Sullivan won the event for the eighth time, beating Ali Carter by 10-7 in the final.

All the Grove players were involved.

Only Mark Selby progressed past the first round. In the quarter-finals, he was narrowly beaten (6-5) by Mark Allen, the defending champion.

Ding Junhui was beaten By Ronnie in the first round but made history! Indeed he scored a 147 in the 7th frame of his match. It was only the fourth 147 in the history of the Masters and Ding’s second at the event. Here it is, shared by Eurosport on their YouTube channel:

Remarkably, Mark Allen made another one during his match against Mark Selby.
