The 2021 summer Championship League Snooker was the first event of the 2021/22 season. I was played at the Morningside Arena in Leicester over four weeks in July and August 2021. All Grove players except Ding and Neil Robertson were involved. Judd Trump and Ali Carter reached stage 2. Ali went one step better and played on the final day; there he came second in his group, only Behind David Gilbert the eventual winner. It was David Gilbert first ranking event title. Congratulations David!

The 2021 World Championship was played at the Crucible there in Sheffield from April 17 to May 3, 2021. The qualifying rounds took place at the EIS in Sheffield from April 5 to April 14, 2021. Ronnie O’Sullivan was the defending Champion. The event was won by Mark Selby who beat Shaun Murphy by 18-15 in the final.

The 2021 Tour Championship was played in Celtic Manor, behind closed doors, from 22 to 28 March 2021.
Neil Robertson beat Ronnie O’Sullivan by 10-4 in the Final to win his 20th ranking title, moving one ahead of Mark Selby. With this win, Neil also became the “Cazoo Cup” 2021 Champion. This was the first time that Neil had managed to beat Ronnie in a multi-session match.

Last season, the lockdown nearly trapped the players in Gibraltar, with Judd winning the title in front of nobody and everyone involved struggling to find flights to get back home.
