Stuart came out the winner of a grueling match that lasted so long that the players were pulled off after it went 4-4. Stuart, who turned pro in 1995, tweeted “1st time in my career that I’ve been pulled off. It’s hard work playing ‘The Force’ but I still have a chance to win.” and it’s exactly what he did!

28.06.2012 Stuart Bingham 5-4 Ken Doherty
Stuart started the match strongly, making two centuries, 143 and 124, before the mid session interval. But Ken Doherty is not one to roll over and he fought extremely hard. Ken managed to take the lead at 4-3 before Stuart forced a decider and won it. Stuart 143 is the highest break of the tournament at this stage.

Another decider and another victory for Stuart, this time against the World n°1. Stuart was impressive while building a 3-1 lead into the MSI. He also looked all set to win 5-2 until he missed a reasonably straightforward last red and gave the 7th frame away. He was first in again in frame 8 but favoured a risky red in the middle over safety and having missed it gave his opponent a golden chance and it was 4-4. With the momentum with Selby it didn’t look great for Stuart, but he showed his bottle, taking a good mid-long red to start the 86 break that earned him frame and match!

And yet another decider! This was a vey bizarre match actually. Stuart was flying before the MSI and went into it leading 4-0. But it turned around completely when the players came back. While Stuart seemed to have lost his potting and his rhythm, Mark, on the contrary, entered in the zone and played some awesome stuff to lead 5-4. He looked set to clinch the match in the next, but he missed and Stuart produced a 44 break to remember to lead by 25 with 25 on the table. Stuart won the last safety battle to force the decider, his fourth in four matches. In the deciding frame, Stuart was first in with a terrific long red and never looked back. A great 134 total clearance sealed the match and the win for him.

01.07.2012 Ricky Walden 10-4 Stuart Bingham
Stuart had a rather bad day in office, especially in the first session, and trailed 7-1 at the end of it despite making a 147 in frame 6, the only one he won in the session. He also lost the first two in the evening session before mounting a spirited comeback. He won three frames on the trot scoring 326 point for only 20 to Ricky and making 2 more centuries. He he had left himself too much to do and in the fourteenth frame Ricky prevailed and took the match. Great run all week from Stuart though. Well done Ballrun!

Judd first match was on Wednesday, June 27, 7:30 local time. He lost in the last 16 to Robert Milkins.

27.6.2012 Judd Trump 5-1 Dominic Dale
Judd produced fast, furious and extremely entertaining snooker to demolish Dominic Dale in less than two hours. After a rather erratic start in frame 1, it was a dazzling display that featured back to back centuries, 113 and 108 and delighted an enthusiast crowd.

28.6.2012 Judd Trump 3-5 Robert Milkins
Judd looked in fine form when he lead 3-1 going into the mid session interval, having knocked in a 137 to win the second frame. But the match was turned upside down when Robert Milkins stole the fifth frame, having trailed by 52 points. He also went on to win all three following frames to take the match and send Judd out of the tournament.
