Stuart Bingham never sleeps … less than 24 hours after playing in the Final in Wuxi, China, he’s went to Bangkok, Thailand for the Sangsom 6 Red World Championship 2012. Judd Trump and Zhang Anda were also involved in the tournament.
Zhang didn’t manage to qualify for the knockout stage. Judd and Stuart were unfortunate to draw each other in the last 32 and it’s Judd who prevailed. Judd then reached the semi finals where he lost to Shaun Murphy.

An interesting match as the score isn’t telling the whole story. The young Iranian amateur World Champion, only 17 years old, showed that he can play and we will see more of him. Judd of course is the World n°2 and he played well. Also his experience, in professional competition AND in playing on television, helped him massively. But Hossein certainly didn’t disgrace himself. He’s one to watch.

Judd beat Mark Selby from 0-2 down, making another maximum (75) in the process. But all accounts this was an excellent match with most frames won in one telling visit.

Semi Finals (6th of July, 2012)

After a good win against Mark Selby earlier on the day, Judd looked completely flat and out of sorts in the semi finals. He didn’t pot a ball in any of the seven frames that Shaun won and only got his first one on the board with the help of a massive fluke. To Shaun’s credit, he played very well and fluently but Judd couldn’t put him under any sort of pressure.
