All Grove players, except for Judd, were competing in the Riga Masters Qualifiers in Preston last week (July 2nd 2018 – July 5th 2018). All of them won their qualifying match and will be in Latvia at the end of this month.
Neil beat young Luo Honghao by 4-2. Luo was the winner of the inaugural WSF Championship in Malta last spring. It was a high quality match with a break over 60 in every frame. It was streamed.
Luca beat Allan Taylor by 4-2. This match was close and devoid of big breaks.
Ali beat Billy Joe Castle by 4-0, with a 106 and a 61. Ali needs good results from the start this season if he is to stay in the top 16.
Oli beat Sunny Akani by 4-3, in a very close hard fought battle of the young guns.
Jack beat Fan Zhengyi by 4-1, in another hard fought match that was actually much closer than the score suggests.
Wenbo beat Adam Duffy by 4-0, with a 105 and a 72. The match was very one-sided except for the last frame.
