Jack Lisowski reaches the 2019 Scottish Open Final

20 December 2019 No Comment

The 2019 Scottish Open, the last ranking event of the decade, ran from December 9 to 15, 2019 in Glasgow. The event was won by Mark SElby who defeated Jack LIsowski by 9-6.
Although disappointed, Jack vwas able to take the positives from this excellent run. After the match he said:

“It is gutting to lose the final. You have to take the positives and this is a big step forward for me. I have built some momentum and I played some of the best snooker that I think I can play. That is a positive and my concentration is getting better.

“You have to think about it rationally or you can get depressed. I have qualifiers all next week. There are so many tournaments now that it is a numbers game and consistency rather than blowing hot and cold.

“It was amazing. The people were cheering me on and I don’t know if many people would have heard of me before today. I go for my shots and I think they appreciate that”

They certainly do

On his way to the final Jack beat Mark Allen and John Higgins, as well as Thepchaiya Un-Nooh who had sent Neil Robetson home at the last 16 stage. Judd Trump was beaten by David Gilbert in the QF.
