The 2025 World Open

The 2025 World Open was played in Yushan, China from 23rd of February to 1st of March, 2025. Judd Trump was the defending champion. The event was won by John Higgins who defeated Joe O’Connor by 10-6 in the final.
It wasn’t a great tournament for the Grove players.
Neil Robertson had entered the event but withdrew before his first match.
Mark Selby went out in the round of 64, beaten 5-2 by Liu Hongyu.
Wu Yize was beaten by David Lilley (5-4) in the round of 32.
Ding reached the last 16, where he lost by 5-2 to Shaun Murphy.
