ET8 – Gdynia Open 2014

The Gdynia Open, running from February 7 to 9, 2014 in Gdynia, Poland is was very important to many players fighting for their survival on the tour. Neil Robertson was bidding for the trophy for the third time in a row. On day 1, Judd was the only Grove player to qualify for the final day. He was joined on day 2 by … Anda. Neil ’s defence came to an end at the hands of Alan McManus in last 64. Both Anda and Judd fell in the quarters.

Judd makes it to the final of the German Masters 2014

The television stage of the German Masters is played in the Tempodrom, Berlin, Germany from January 29 to February 2, 2014.
It involves 64 players and Grove is represented by Neil, Judd, Wenbo and Li Hang. Neil won one match, Wenbo won two, Judd lost 9-5 to Ding in the Final.

Haikou World Open 2013/14 – Last 128

The last 128 of the Haikou World Open are played in Barnsley on 13&14 December 2013. All Grove players will try to qualify for the main event, played in March, in China. After day 1, Judd, Yu Delu, Li Yan, Wenbo are through to China.

German Masters 2013/14 – Last 128

The last 128 of the German Masters are played in Barnsley on 11&12 December 2013. All Grove players will try to qualify for the main event, played in about 6 weeks at the Tempodrom, Berlin, Germany. Judd, Neil, Wenbo, Cao Xin Long and Li Hang won and are Berlin bound.

Neil Robertson wins the UK Championship 2013

The tournament was played from 26 November to 8 December, 2013, in the Barbican, York.
The UK was played under the flat draw format, with strict seeding, for the first time and all Grove players were competing in York. Neil Robertson went on to win the title and doing so joined the exclusive club of players who have won the “Triple Crown”: World Championship, UK Championship and Masters. He made history also being the first non British player to achieve this.

ET7 – Antwerp Open 2013

Lotto Arena, Antwerp, Belgium – 14-17 November, 2013 (pros start on November 15)
Judd played Cao Xin Long again on day 1 and, this time, beat him 4-1. He then beat Tepchaiya Un-Nooh, but lost 3-4 to Mark Selby in the last 32, despite making two tons, including a 147. Sleepy, Li Hang, Yu Delu, Zhang Anda and Liang Wenbo all played on Day 2. Only Yu won his first match but lost to Mark Allen in the last 32. Neil did not enter, Li Yan withdrew.
JUDD MADE A 147 in frame 3 of his last 32 match. Well done!

ET6 – Judd makes the final in the Kay Suzanne Memorial Cup 2013

The Capital Venue will again host the Kay Suzanne Memorial Cup, running from November 7 to November 10, 2013. The pros start playing on Friday, November 8. The dress code is “Pink” as the whole event is meant to support the fight and prevention against breast cancer. All Grove players, except Li Yan, were involved. Judd and Neil reached the Final day. Neil lost to Mark Allen in the quarters. Judd made it to the Final after beating Jamie Jones in the semis, but came runner-up to Mark Allen

Liang Wenbo wins AT3 2013 – Zengzhou, China

Asian Tour Event 3 – Zengzhou, China, 20-24 October 2013
All Chinese Grove players are involved. In round 1, they all beat their Chinese amateur opponents. Wenbo and Yu Delu got a bye. Round 2 was less successful: only Wenbo won his match whilst Cao Xin Long benefitted from Ding Junhui withdrawal. Cao lost in round 3. Wenbo beat Rouzi Maimaiti in last 16 and Liu Chuang in the quarters. He then beat Anthony McGill in the semis and whitewashed Lyu Haotian in the Final. First ranking event win! Well …
