The Q-School 2014 features two events, with 8 Main Tours spots for the grabs, and is played at The Capital Venue (SWSA) in Gloucester from 10 to 21 May, 2014. Chen Zhe, Li Yan and Zhang Anda are trying to regain their professional status. Good luck to them. Congratulations to Anda who regains his main tour spot coming out of Q-School event 1. Unfortunately neither Sleepy nor Li Yan managed to make it. They are off the Main Tour.

The World Championship 2014 Qualifiers – still played in a tiered format – run from April 8 till April 16, at Pond Forge, Sheffield. All Grove players, except for Neil and Judd, who are seeded, are involved. Zhang Anda, Cao Xinlong, Chen Zhe, Li Hang and Li Yan all won their matches in Round 1. The television stage of the Haikou World Open, features 64 players and runs from March 10 to March 15, 2014. Neil, Judd, Wenbo, Li Yan and Yu Delu have qualified. Neil is the first to book his last 32 spot with a 5-1 win over Jamie Jones. Judd and Wenbo joined him on day 2. All three won on day 3 and reached the last 16, where unfortunately they all lost.

The fourth and last event of the Asian Tour, the Dongguan Open, is played from March 4 to March 8, 2014.
All Chinese players from Grove are involved. Liang Wenbo beat Yu Delu in the semi finals…. and lost 4-1 to Stuart Bingham in the Final

The tournament is played under flat draw, with all 128 players at the venue. All Grove players were involved. Neil, Judd, Wenbo and Li Hang won their first match. Li Hang lost to Anthony Hamilton in the last 64. Neil lost to Mark Williams in the last 32. Judd lost to John Higgins and Wenbo lost to Barry Hawkins in the last 16.

The Gdynia Open, running from February 7 to 9, 2014 in Gdynia, Poland is was very important to many players fighting for their survival on the tour. Neil Robertson was bidding for the trophy for the third time in a row. On day 1, Judd was the only Grove player to qualify for the final day. He was joined on day 2 by … Anda. Neil ’s defence came to an end at the hands of Alan McManus in last 64. Both Anda and Judd fell in the quarters.

Judd, Wenbo, Anda and Li Yan all qualified for the last 64. Judd is the defending champion. On day 1, Li Yan and Wenbo had to play each other and Wenbo prevailed by 6-3. Unfortunately Judd and And a both lost on day 2. Wenbo beat Ronnie in the last 32, then outplayed Mark Davis in last 16. Dotty however proved too strong for him in the quarters.
