Haining Sports Center, Haining, China – October 19th 2015 – October 23rd 2015

All Grove players, except Judd and Neil, entered the event. It was Anda who had the best run: he reached the QF, where he lost to Ding Junhui. Ding went on to win the event. Anda had beaten Wenbo in the previous round.

ET event 3 – Ruhr Open 2015

All Grove players entered the Ruhr Open 2015, played in Mülheim, Germany, 9th-11th October 2015. It wasn’t a great success for the Grove team as Cao Yupeng, Judd and Neil lost in last 128 already. It was James Cahill who beat Neil though. No Grove player reached the final day … Liang Wenbo had to withdraw as well.

Shanghai Masters 2015: Judd makes it to the final

Shanghai, China – September 14-20, 2015
Judd, Neil and Wenbo are competing in the television stage of this event, that starts at last 32. Judd and Neil are seeded whilst Wenbo had to win one match to qualify. Wenbo, unfortunately, lost by 5-1 to John Higgins on day 1. On day 3, Neil joined the casualties as Jamie Cope beat him by 5-4 . Judd beat the defending champion, Stuart Bingham in a high quality SF. He lost by 10-9 to Karen Wilson in the Final.

Wenbo and Judd are the two Grove players in this event played in Bangkok, Thailand from 7 to 12 September 2015.
Both did well. Wenbo made it to the final, were his was beaten by Thepchaya Un-Nooh, obvious the home favourite. Judd made two maximums during the tournament, and a 74, but lost in the last 16 … to the eventual winner.

ET event 2 – Paul Hunter Classic 2015

Fürth, Germany – 28-30 August 2015
The Paul Hunter Classic 2015 was won by Ali Carter which is particularly fitting considering how he beat cancer twice over the last years. It was his first title since his return to the game. Very well done to him.
All Grove players made the trip to Germany, except for Neil. Judd was the only one to reach the finals day; he lost to Michael Holt in the QF.

Barnsley, England – 5-9 August, 2015. All Grove players were trying to book their place in the television stages, played in Shanghai in September 2015, except fot Judd and Neil who are seeded in the top 16. Only Wenbo managed to qualify, although Li Hang came very close to make it. All the results and some matches videos below.

ET event 1 – Riga Open 2015

Riga, Latvia – July 29 – August 2, 2015
In the first Europan Tour event of the new season, Grove was represented by Judd, James, Ollie and Wenbo. James was beaten early but Judd and Ollie reached the last16 and Wenbo made it to the quarter finals. The event was won by Barry Hawkins.

World Championship 2015 – Qualifiers

All Chinese players at Grove, except for Cao Xin Long, are trying to qualify for the World Championship 2015. They all have to win 3 matches in Ponds Forge, Sheffield. All matches are best of 19 over two sessions. All but Lyu Chenwei progressed to round 2. Yu Delu, Li Hang, Liang Wenbo and Zhang Anda reached the final round, but only Anda will be at the Crucible after beating Wenbo by 10-9 in their last qualifying match. Li Hang also lost in the deciding frame. Heartbreak!

China Open 2015, Beijing, China

Beijing, China – 30 March -> 5 April, 2015.
Neil, Judd, Wenbo, Yu Delu, Zhang Anda and Cao Yupeng qualified for the main event.
Day 1 was a day to forget for the Grove team as all four of Neil, Wenbo, Cao and Zhang lost their opening match. Yu Delu also got beat on day 2. Judd was the only Grove player standing and he reached the last 16, where he narrowly lost to John Higgins.

World Grand Prix 2015 – Judd is the Champion!

Cymru Venue, Llandudno, North Wales – 16-22 March 2015.
This new invitational tournament features the 32 players who earned most money since and including the World Championship 2015. Neil , Judd and Wenbo are competing. Neil and Wenbo won their last 32 match on day 1. Judd joined them on day 2. Neil and Wenbo lost in the last 16, but Judd reached the SF after beating Mark Williams … just! But Judd turned the style, beating Ronnie by 10-7 from 7-4 down to win the event. Well done!
