The qualifying rounds of the Shanghai Master are still played under a tiered system. Li Hang and Liang Wenbo both won 4 matches and qualified for the television stag; they will play in Shanghai. Li Hang, Lyu Chenwei, Zhang Anda and Cao Xinlong started in round 1. Only Li Hang went through: he was supposed to play Zhang Anda who had to withdraw because of visa issues. The first Asian Tour event, was played in Yixing from 17 to 21 June 2014. All Chinese Grove players were competing, whilst Neil and Judd did not enter. They all won their first match … except Wenbo, surprisingly. Li Hang and Yu Delu reached the quarters.

The Q-School 2014 features two events, with 8 Main Tours spots for the grabs, and is played at The Capital Venue (SWSA) in Gloucester from 10 to 21 May, 2014. Chen Zhe, Li Yan and Zhang Anda are trying to regain their professional status. Good luck to them. Congratulations to Anda who regains his main tour spot coming out of Q-School event 1. Unfortunately neither Sleepy nor Li Yan managed to make it. They are off the Main Tour.

The World Championship 2014 Qualifiers – still played in a tiered format – run from April 8 till April 16, at Pond Forge, Sheffield. All Grove players, except for Neil and Judd, who are seeded, are involved. Zhang Anda, Cao Xinlong, Chen Zhe, Li Hang and Li Yan all won their matches in Round 1. The fourth and last event of the Asian Tour, the Dongguan Open, is played from March 4 to March 8, 2014.
All Chinese players from Grove are involved. Liang Wenbo beat Yu Delu in the semi finals…. and lost 4-1 to Stuart Bingham in the Final

The tournament is played under flat draw, with all 128 players at the venue. All Grove players were involved. Neil, Judd, Wenbo and Li Hang won their first match. Li Hang lost to Anthony Hamilton in the last 64. Neil lost to Mark Williams in the last 32. Judd lost to John Higgins and Wenbo lost to Barry Hawkins in the last 16.

The last 128, qualifying stage for the China Open 2014 were played in Gloucester at the Capital Venue, from 16 to 18 February, 2014.
All Grove players were involved. Neil is the defending Champion. Yu Delu, Judd, Neil and Li Hang qualified and will play in Beijing

The Gdynia Open, running from February 7 to 9, 2014 in Gdynia, Poland is was very important to many players fighting for their survival on the tour. Neil Robertson was bidding for the trophy for the third time in a row. On day 1, Judd was the only Grove player to qualify for the final day. He was joined on day 2 by … Anda. Neil ’s defence came to an end at the hands of Alan McManus in last 64. Both Anda and Judd fell in the quarters.

Zhang Anda was the only Grove player involved in the One Frame Shootout 2014, played in Blackpool from 24 to 26 January, 2014.
He started strongly knocking out the defending Champion Martin Gould in the first match of the tournament. Unfortunately he lost to Stuart Bingham in the next round.
