Neil and Judd were competing in the television stage of the Australian Open 2015. Those qualifiers are still played under a tiered system. Lyu Chenwei, Li Hang, Zhang Anda, James Cahill and Oliver Lines were competing, but none of them will make the trip to Bendigo. Judd and Neil are seeded in the top 16 and didn’t need to qualify. Judd is seed n°1 being the defending champion.
The Grove team is delighted to welcome Oliver Lines and James Cahill, two young exciting talents.

Crucible Theatre, Sheffield – 18 April -> 4 May 2015.
Neil, Judd and Anda are competing for the bigger prize in the game. Anda lost by 10-4 to Joe Perry in last 32. Neil was beaten by Barry Hawkins in the quarters, in a decider. Judd reached the one table setup stage but lost to Stuart Bingham in the SF. It was probably the best match of the tournament and it went to a deciding frame.
All Chinese players at Grove, except for Cao Xin Long, are trying to qualify for the World Championship 2015. They all have to win 3 matches in Ponds Forge, Sheffield. All matches are best of 19 over two sessions. All but Lyu Chenwei progressed to round 2. Yu Delu, Li Hang, Liang Wenbo and Zhang Anda reached the final round, but only Anda will be at the Crucible after beating Wenbo by 10-9 in their last qualifying match. Li Hang also lost in the deciding frame. Heartbreak!
