Oliver Lines

2014/15 was Oliver first season as a pro and he finished it as n°78. His best result was a runner-up place in the Asian Tour Event 2. He did very well in the Asian and European tours and qualified for the Grand Final. His results in full ranking events weren’t great but he nevertheless claimed the reigning World Champion Mark Selby’s scalp in the International Championship last 128 … winning 6-4 from 4-0 down!

2015/16 Oliver second season wasn’t really great as he won only 14 matches out of 30 he played. His best result in a full ranking event was a last 32 in the International Championship 2015. But he did well in the European tour, finishing n°35 in the Order of Merit and was runner-up to Stuart Bingham in the Hainan Open, the only Asian Tour event staged that season.

the 2016/17 was a season of two halves for Oliver. Before Christmas he got some interesting results: at the 2016 Indian Open, Lines reached the last 16 of a ranking event for the first time, beating Graeme Dott and Andrew Higginson en route, but losing by 4–2 to Shaun Murphy. He reached the last 16 again at the UK Championship 2016, where he lost to Marco Fu by 6–0, having knocked out Judd Trump, world n°3 at the time, in the last 64 . Oliver said that this was the first time had played well in a televised match . However, after reaching the third round of the Scottish Open 2016, just before Christmas, Oliver lost five of his six matches in the remainder of the season
