Last 128 – Jack Lisowski 4-2 Michael Wasley
It was a match in two parts. Jack took a 3-0 lead winning all three first frames in one or two good visits. It all turned scrappy though afterwards and Michael came back to trail only 2-3, before Jack managed to win an extremely fragmented sixth frame in no less than six visits and a high break of 15…

Last 128 – Judd Trump 4-1 Martin O’Donnell
It was a slow start for both players as they appeared to be struggling with positional play and missing easy balls for the two first frames. Judd managed to win the third and from there looked settled. He clinched the match with a well constructed 117.

Last 128 – Paul Davison 4-0 Zhang Anda
With a highest break of 28 in the whole match, Anda simply wasn’t good enough to beat Paul Davison. Paul is a hard match player and if one doesn’t score when given the chance, he’s very hard to beat indeed.

Last 64 – Judd Trump 4-0 Michael Wild
Without being at his best Judd did a right demolition job on a very struggling Michael Wild who absolutely never managed to put him under any sort of pressure.

Last 64 – Jack Lisowski 4-1 Chris Norbury
Another hard fought match for Jack who only had one break over 50 (52) but still came out the clear winner of the contest.

Last 32 – Judd Trump 4-2 Aditya Mehta
Aditya gave Judd a very good game and it’s a shame that they had to meet so early in the competition.

Last 32 – Mark Selby 3-4 Jack Lisowski
Fantastic win for Jack, coming back from 1-3 down. In particular considering he was 0-49 down in the decider. Great fight! Well done Jack!

Last 128 – Liang Wenbo 4-0 Rares Sinca
The first frame was scrappy. After that Wenbo made 88, 128 and 108…

Last 128 – Yu Delu 4-3 Thomas Skalski
Yu Delu made 58, 65 and 91 in the process of winning this match, but he lost most scrappy frames against the gritty Belgian amateur Thomas Skalski. Nevermind, he’s in the next round.

Last 64 – Liang Wenbo 4-2 Shaun Murphy
Wenbo beat Shaun convincingly: he made 70, 80, 89 and 63. Murphy had 115 … so it looks like a quality match. Afterwards Shaun tweeted “Why does Wenbo always play like Moses on a Yamaha against me?” uh?

Last 64 – Li Yan 4-2 Mark Vincent
Going by frames scores this looks like it was a very scrappy match. Well done Li Yan though.

Last 64 – Yu Delu 4-0 Rod Lawler
Good win against one of the harder match players on the tour, and a nice 125 in frame 3.

Last 32 – Liang Wenbo 4-3 Ken Doherty
This must have been a great match, all frames except the last were hard fought. Wenbo came from 0-2 down to take a 3-2 lead. But Ken forced a decider. Wenbo then produced a match winning 80 break taking very well the chance he had created for himself.

Last 32 – Li Yan 4-3 Alfie Burden
Li Yan started strongly taking a 2-0 and a 3-1 advantage. But as it unfolded the match went scrappier and Alfie came back to force a decider. Li Yan was first in and manage to build a 60-4 lead (in three visits). Alfie fought back but couldn’t overcome the deficit. Li Yan is through to the Finals day.

Last 32 – Yu Delu 2-4 Marcus Campbell
Marcus Campbell got the better of Yu Delu in a very late, and very hard “matchplay” type of match to deny him a spot into the finals day. It was Marcus superior scoring that was the key factor.

Last 16 – Jack Lisowski 1-4 Tom Ford
Tom showed yesterday that he is in good nick and by the looks of it oupotted Jack off the table this morning.

Last 16 – Dave Harold 1-4 Judd Trump
Judd got a slow morning start, losing frame 1. He managed to win the second in three visits. From there it was one way trafiic with Judd scoring 78, 71 and 107 to finish the job.

Last 16 – John Higgins 4-2 Liang Wenbo
Wenbo did show some good stuff, notably a very well constructed 93 in frame 3 but Higgins had too much for him and managed to put him under huge pressure. One bad safety, one missed long red and it was frame over. Higgins won the last three with 110, 92 and 88.

Last 16 – Li Yan 1-4 Rory McLeod
Rory sprinted (by his own standards it WAS a sprint) to a 3-0 lead, before Li Yan redeemed some pride by winning the fourth with a 84. It was as good as it got though, as Rory finished the (dental) job in the next.

last 8 – Judd Trump 4-0 Andrew Higginson
Less than an hour, 63, 62, 121, 119 …

Last 4 – Judd Trump 4-2 Mark Davis
Judd came out the winner of a very tough match against Mark Davis. Mark scored 64 and 118, but it’s Judd who managed to take the scrappy ones despite not scoring heavily (Judd didn’t have a single break over 50 in the match). He will need all his patience and tactical nous in the final, as he will playing John Higgins again.

Final – Judd Trump 4-0 John Higgins
Judd imposed his game on John Higgins, playing extremely aggressively, and got the reward! He’s the Bulgarian Open Champion with a whooping 4-0 score. Django said on twitter “Box ticked, move on” … yes boss.
