Judd Trump is the WSIC 2019 Champion and the World n°1!

Judd Trump won the 2019 International Championship, beating Shaun Murphy by 10-3 in the Final. The tournament was played in Daqing, China, from August 4, 2019 to August 11, 2019. It was Judd’s first “outing” since he won the World Championship last May. In reaching the quarter finals, he also secured the Number 1 spot in the rankings. He’s now World Champion and World n°1. Congratulations Judd!

The International Championship 2018

Neil Robertson reached the final of the International Championship 2018, played in Daqing, China from 28 October to 4 November 2018. He played great snooker all week, but, unfortunately, came short against Mark Allen who beat him by 10-5 in the final.It was in fact a very successful event for the Grove team. No less than four of the five players competing in Daqing reached the quarter finals: Neil, Jack, Ali and Judd. Ali was beaten at that stage by the eventual champion Mark Allen. Jack and Judd faced each other, and it was Jack who prevailed. Neil beat the current n°1 and defending champion, Mark Selby.
Again in the semi finals, the two remaining Grove players, Jack and Neil faced each other and it was Neil who won by 9-7.

World Open 2017

The World Open 2017 was played in Yushan, China, from September 18 to September 24, 2017.
It was Luca again would fared the better of the Grove team as he reached the semi finals where he lost by 6-4 to Ding Junhui the eventual Champion. This means that Luca is now firmly installed in the top 16 as he reaches his highest ranking to date as n° 12. Welsh Open 2016 – Neil makes it to the Final

Motorpoint Arena, Cardiff, Wales – 15-21 February 2016
Neil made it to the final of the tournament but lost by 9-5 to Ronnie O’Sullivan. Judd and Yu Delu progressed to the last 16, losing to Joe Perry and Ronnie O’Sullivan respectively. None of the other Grove players went past the last 64.

Bulagarian Open 2014 – European Tour Event 3

Sofia, Bulgaria – 3-5 October 2014.
Judd, Neil and Wenbo were competing. Judd beat the defending Champion, John Higgins in the last 64 and is into the Finals day, but Neil lost in the last 64 and Wenbo in the last 32. Unfortunately Judd lost in the last 16 by 4-3 to Michael Wasley.

Ethan regains National Title

There has been a big lead up with lots of intense training for Ethan due to the National Championships being held over the weekend 31st May. In the final Ethan had Jamie Liu from the Kingfisher Club in Reading – Ethan ran onto the court when called to play in the final and looked mentally strong. Australian Open 2014 – Qualifiers

The Australian Open Qualifiers are played under tiered format, at the Capital Venue between May 30 and June 3, 2014. Cao Xin Long, Lyu Chenwei, Li Hang, Yu Delu and Liang Wenbo are involved. Cao Xin Long and Lyu Chenwei lost on day 1. Yu Delu lost in round 2, Li Hang in round 3. Wenbo is the last man standing after he beat Jimmy Robertson, he will go to Bendigo..

Haikou World Open 2014

The television stage of the Haikou World Open, features 64 players and runs from March 10 to March 15, 2014. Neil, Judd, Wenbo, Li Yan and Yu Delu have qualified. Neil is the first to book his last 32 spot with a 5-1 win over Jamie Jones. Judd and Wenbo joined him on day 2. All three won on day 3 and reached the last 16, where unfortunately they all lost.

The Masters 2014

The tournament was played in Alexandra Palace, London from 12 to 19, January 2014.
Judd and Neil were involved. Judd unfortunately lost 5-6 to Marco Fu in last 16; it was a high quality match though. In the last 16, Neil beat Mark Allen 6-5 in a rather poor match played in a very hot arena. He then lost 6-2 to Stephen Maguire in the quarters, admitting he felt flat on the day.

Neil Robertson wins the UK Championship 2013

The tournament was played from 26 November to 8 December, 2013, in the Barbican, York.
The UK was played under the flat draw format, with strict seeding, for the first time and all Grove players were competing in York. Neil Robertson went on to win the title and doing so joined the exclusive club of players who have won the “Triple Crown”: World Championship, UK Championship and Masters. He made history also being the first non British player to achieve this.
