Ethan was selected by Table Tennis England to train in China for three weeks at a summer school.
Ethan is currently the U13 national champion and ranked No.1 in the country at both U14 and U15 level.
The youngster is expected to feature abroad for England a lot next year, and it is hoped that the trip to Shanghai will aid in his development to become one of the top players in Europe at his age.

Billy O’Connor is 17 years old and is currently undergoing chemotherapy. He was diagnosed with cancer at the age of 15. He’s a very gifted young snooker player currently captaining England team. He organised a 24h snooker marathon on August 16, 2014, to support Teenage Cancer Trust. Several pros and former pros showed their support – Jack Lisowski, Neil Robertson Stuart Bingham, Mark King, Sean O’Sullivan were there – and the event raised a over £11000 for Teenage Cancer Trust! Neil made a great start to the season 2014/2015. He won the Wuxi Classic in China, and followed up with a run to the final in Bendigo. That saw him go back at the top of the ranking list.
