The 2024 Xi’an Grand Prix was played in Xi’an, China, from 19 to 25 August 2024. This was the first instalment of this event, therefore there was no defending champion. The 2024 Shanghai Masters was played, in Shanghai, China, from July 15, 2024 to July 21, 2024. Ronnie O’Sullivan was the defending Champion. The event was won by Judd Trump who defeated Shaun Murphy in the final (11-5).

This being an invitational event, the field was limited at 24 players, but three Grove players had been invited: Mark Selby, Luca Brecel and Ding Junhui.

The 2024 Championship League Snooker – Ranking event was the first event of the 2024/25 season. It was played at the Mattioli Arena in Leicester, England over the course of three weeks (10th of June to 3rd of July 2024). All the detailed results are on snooker.org.
Shaun Murphy was the defending Champion. Ali Carter won the event, beating Jackson page in the final by 3-1.
Wu Yize and Neil Robertson were the only Grove players involved.

Wu is a wonderful talent as his young career so far amply shows.

The 2024 World Snooker Championship took place at the Crucible Theatre in Sheffield (England) from the 20th of April to the 6th of May 2024. Luca Brecel was the defending Champion. The event was won by Kyren Wilson who beat Jak Jones – a qualifier – by 18-14 in the final.
It was a pretty miserable event for the Grove players.
